- Counsel lender regarding foreclosure and other strategies relating to nonperforming loans on contaminated collateral
Brownfield Redevelopment, In-fill, Smart Growth
- Work with landowners, redevelopment agencies, and municipalities developers to develop strategies for addressing contaminated sites for
redevelopment and urban in-fill - Identify potentially responsible parties and historical insurance assets and develop strategies to recover investigation and cleanup costs
- Negotiate purchase and sale contracts relating to Brownfield sites
- Work with agencies to negotiate immunity for bona fide purchasers, innocent landowners, and continguous property owners under the
California Land Reuse and Revitalization Act (“CLRRA”) - Negotiate Prospective Purchaser Agreement with lead agency
- Counseling regarding pollution liability policies to facilitate transfer of risk concerning the purchase of contaminated properties
- Represent clients at design review and city council meetings relating to development projects
- Advise regarding historical building designation
